Over the last four decades, BPST has organized several programmes for thousands of foreign participants and consistently played a genuine and valuable role in fostering a sense of fellowship. It has helped in developing a commonality of views among parliamentarians. Subsequently, it has also been instrumental in including democratic values among parliamentary officials along with other stakeholders of democracy. By conducting these programmes it has developed a close bond of friendship between India and several parliamentary democracies of the world. BPST through its well-established practices has been helping nations to establish parliamentary training institutes by imparting training and giving them inputs based on years of experience of the BPST. The Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Training (CPST) of Parliament of Kenya is one such example. BPST has amplified parliamentary diplomacy and regional cooperation through various programmes for foreign parliamentarians/ parliamentary officials and other stakeholders of democracy. The trainings imparted in BPST are demand-driven, focusing on thematic parliamentary topics, understanding individual skills and presenting comparative analysis wherever required. 
Attachment programmes, study visits and special customized programmes are organized by PRIDE on request. These programmes of three to five days offer an opportunity to the visiting Parliamentarians to gain first-hand knowledge and experience of the working of Parliamentary institutions in India. 
Short duration study visits and tours of a day sponsored by foreign Parliaments, Parliamentary bodies and other funding agencies are also organized by PRIDE. The visitors are provided with the requisite orientation, and in order for them to be well acquainted, they are further briefed about the Indian Political System and other related issues, either by an eminent Parliamentarian or by a senior officer of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. This is followed by a visit to the Parliament House to see the proceedings of Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha, if the Parliament is in session. When the Parliament is not in session, then the visiting groups are taken for a show-round of Lok Sabha Rajya Sabha Chambers and Central Hall of the Parliament House. Besides this, Parliament Museum and Parliament Library are also shown to them.

Apart from the regular training programmes and courses, PRIDE facilitates the officers of Central and State governments and also students, scholars, academicians and others for short study visits during which the visitors are provided with the requisite orientation so that they get to know the notable aspects of the practice and procedure of parliamentary institutions. Such study visits are also organized for tribals, Sarpanchs, women Panchayat members and other stakeholders from the rural part of the country. PRIDEalso undertakes study visits for deaf and dumb participants. Yearly study visits are also organized for children who are recipients of the National Bravery Award. The study visit consists of a briefing on the Indian political system and other related issues either by an eminent Parliamentarian or by a senior officer of the Lok Sabha Secretariat. The participants are encouraged to ask questions so that their curiosity is satisfied. This is followed by a visit to the Parliament House to see the proceedings of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, if the parliament is in session. When the Parliament is not in session then the visiting group is taken for a show round of the Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha Chambers and Central Hall of the Parliament House. Such visits offer a very good opportunity to the participants to have first hand and direct knowledge about the working of the Indian Parliamentary system and see for themselves magnificent Parliament House.The visitors are also taken on a tour of the Parliament Museum and Parliament Library. Occasionally, during such visits, call on meeting with Hon'ble Speaker, Lok Sabha and/or Secretary General, Lok Sabha, are also arranged depending on the convenience of the dignitaries. At times, Hon'ble Members of Parliament are invited to interact with them.
